About Alexia Holovatyk, Ph.D.

Therapy across California

Hi, I'm Alexia Holovatyk

I'm a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience helping people, especially women, cope with chronic illness, trauma, and grief. I am also the stress-management consultant for behavioral health app, Alurx.

I take a holistic, integrative, mind-body-spirit approach in my work. My goal is to help people feel more centered and maintain equanimity, even in the face of difficult circumstances. I focus on helping people improve their quality of life, improve their relationships, and grow through stressful experiences.

My Journey To Becoming A Therapist

I’m no different from the clients I see. Like everyone else, I'm human. I've been through both wonderful and difficult experiences that have shaped who I am and how I help.

I always knew that I wanted to be a therapist from a young age. It was only in hindsight that I realized I was drawn to the field because I was searching for personal healing. Once I had this realization, I started doing the deep work on myself, and my work with others became exponentially more effective.

Helping People Gives My Life Meaning

Being a therapist is an honor. I love guiding people towards positive changes and witnessing them achieve more fulfilling lives.

The most rewarding thing about being a therapist is seeing a person walk away lighter, more free, and excited about their life.

I Have A Genuine Interest In Others And Bring Warmth And Understanding To Sessions

People who know me often say that I am a good listener who can help people feel heard, seen, and understood, which helps people heal. I have a natural ability to help people name what they are feeling and create a new narrative around it.

Our Sessions Are Focused On You

Sessions will provide you with the space to focus on yourself without feeling selfish. In feeling safe and comfortable, you'll be able to feel what you need to feel.

It's important to me to stay open to any feedback and questions you may have. There isn't a "one size fits all" approach to Therapy. Our sessions will fit your specific needs and concerns.

"When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves"
